Kristen Goes to Guatemala!

This past September, our acupuncturist Kristen went on an amazing trip to Guatemala City to share her knowledge of obstetrical acupuncture care!

The trip was organized as a collaboration between the Global Acupuncture Project (GAP) and the Obstetrical Acupuncture Association (OBAA).

Kristen spent 2 weeks at the Intuición Materna helping to train birthworkers (1 doula, 1 lactation consultant, & 9 professional midwives) from Guatemala & El Salvador in the application of acupuncture protocols for supporting pregnant and birthing people.

Kristen took the lead in teaching the postpartum module — a subspecialty that she is uniquely passionate about & trained in.
